Catching up.

Hi everyone!

Sorry things have been slow around here. Anna and I have been taking some time to relax and go over things for this next year! Over the next few months there may be some changes around the blog here. We're going to be updating and revamping everything for 2012. In the mean time, be patient with us! We will still be here, just maybe not as often. We will still be giving out free tutorials and we will continue our Pillow of the Month posts! However the January pillow of the month post will be a week late. It will be posted January 9th!

We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. We feel so blessed by everything God has provided for us this year and can't wait to see what He has in store for us next year! We want to thank all of you for supporting us during our first year as Striped Feather Co. and we wish all of you many blessings in 2012 :)

Brit and Anna

12 Days of Christmas: Candy Ornament

Hello, today is the last day of our 12 Days of Christmas! Can you believe it? Today's project is probably the easiest of all. It's a candy ornament.

It doesn't involve sewing and you can make it in under 2 minutes! Very simple. You can also change the shape and size of the candies by changing the size of fabric you use and the amount of stuffing you add. So make lots of ornaments and experiment with sizes!

So there you have it! I hope you enjoyed all of the projects we had for you guys this month! Let us know if you've made any of them by uploading pictures to our flickr page!

Merry Christmas

Brit

12 Days of Christmas: Fabric Envelope

Hello again!

Today we have a tutorial for a fabric envelope.

These are perfect for putting money or checks in when you're giving them as gifts. They're very easy to make. And you can make one with a fat quarter, so they are also extremely affordable! I use 2 different fabrics (one for the inside and one for the outside), but you can use whatever you'd like. The fabrics in the picture are from JoAnn's.

Let's get started!

I hope you enjoyed! Come back tomorrow for Day 11! We're almost done, can you believe it? Christmas is coming :)

Hi there! Today's project is an adorable little snowflake ornament.

It's a no-sew project! Although if you would like to add stitching around the edge you can. But the rest of this project can be done with just fabric glue!
